Retribution vs Redemption: A Reddit Study

The US justice system has experimented with initiatives aimed at diverting offenders away from prison, but public policies often rely on the support of voters, thus the public’s position on rehabilitation creates an urgent opportunity for exploration. This qualitative study employs unsolicited data from Reddit to explore public opinions on the debate between punishment and rehabilitation in the American criminal justice system.
